Ritu is a spontaneous Creative, following no vocabulary or symbolism, expressing her inner sense and experience through intuitively chosen mediums. She sees Inner transformation as the only direction of growth, be it within or without and through all her works, she wants to bring a touch of hand and a little bit of silence and beauty into the world.
B. Com(H) from K M College, DU; Fashion Designer from NIFT ,New Delhi; Advanced programs in Fashion Styling and Creative enterprise ownership from FIT, New York; PG Certf. in Higher Education, Ritu has been expanding her vision and experience throughout. Awarded 1st Runner up at Smirnoff International Design Award(national 1996), Scholarship to study at FIT, New York(not availed), her one of a kind designs sold at Padakkam, Ogaan, Studio Saks, NIFT Shop, Boutiques and craft markets at New York.
Involved with textile explorations for 'The Crossing' Project of Sacred World Foundation, she has worked with handicraft artisans through design intervention for Govt. of India at various towns and cities.'05-'10 saw her deeply involved with design education as Full time core Creative Design Process faculty(at Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi), introducing new ideas in teaching and learning process guiding students to expand creative potential and find personal direction in design. Later, also as Guest Faculty at NSD ; LISAA; SACAC New Delhi.
She has authored textbook on Creative Design Process, has reviewed Design collections at WL India Fashion Weeks; contributed to magazines with features on design and sacred arts.She writes poetry, and articles in area of creativity, sacred art and personal musings/growth.
Ritu has Conceptualized and presented 'Swayam ki Or' and 'Spandan', musical offerings for inner connect at venues in Delhi ( Dilli Haat, Pitampura; IIC New Delhi; Delhi University; The Attic, Regal Building; Śūnnya Kalāshram, South extension; personal spaces ) as a singer and wishes to take it on a traveling journey across India and the world.
She has conducted workshop on "Meditativeness for Self Reliance" for Professors and students of Delhi University; INSIGHTS module at Sri Aurobindo Center of Art and Communication, New Delhi.
Seeing all of life as art expression and arts as a way of union, after 'Still…within', Ritu shared her heartfull creations at her solo offering of visual invocations, 'Manifest…unmanifest' at India International Center, Lodi Road, New Delhi
